New NSFW motion comic fills the gap between Chronicles and Riddick

Riddick Motion Comic - Blindsided (2013) - Vin Diesel Sci-Fi Movie HD

While we eagerly await Vin Diesel’s new Riddick flick, there’s a brand-new (and a bit NSFW) motion comic that somewhat bridges the events between the end of The Chronicles of Riddick and the upcoming new film.

The last time we saw Richard B. Riddick, he’d become—despite his good efforts, as well as those of Vaako (played by Karl Urban) and Dame Vaako (played by Thandie Newton)—the almighty ruler of the Necromongers.

We know from the bunch of exciting trailers we’ve seen so far that the new Riddick film rocks the first film's vibe, Pitch Black, and will once again pit our favorite Furyan against a slew of new mercenaries out to get him.

Question is: What happened between then and there?

Now you can catch a glimpse of the troubles Riddick got as the new leader of the Necromongers whilst being reminded that Vaako will also be in Riddick (yay!).

Have a look at the prequel motion comic above, and as a refresher, here's the official synopsis:

The latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga that began with 2000′s hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004′s The Chronicles of Riddick reunites writer/director David Twohy (A Perfect Getaway, The Fugitive) and star Vin Diesel (the Fast and Furious franchise, xXx). Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick, a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy.
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

We don't know about you, but we're pretty excited to see Riddick being on the run for his life once more and duking it out with some badass mercenaries—including Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff.

Riddick will hit theaters on Sept. 6, 2013. Will you be watching?
