Matt Smith reveals the Doctor Who adventures he ran out of time to have

At the San Diego Comic-Con Brave New Warriors panel, Matt Smith, Kit Harrington, Steven Yeun and others answered some great questions, and we've got the whole thing right here.

The Walking Dead, Teen Wolf, Game of Thrones and Doctor Who were all well represented at what turned into a fun Q&A panel. But, unsurprisingly, it was Matt Smith who grabbed focus, what with his imminent departure from Who.

So what did we learn this time? Well, for one thing, Steven Moffat has been teasing Smith a bit. Says Smith, "Steven Moffat was actually pitching all the episode ideas for next season to me last night -- that was really hard."

Sadly, we didn't learn what those episode ideas were, but we did discover who Matt Smith wishes his Doctor had had the chance to meet -- Frank Sinatra. Smith imagined Sinatra as an alien. Also, someone called out "Atlantis" from the crowd and Smith immediately leapt at that notion, saying that, even though it had already been done before (several times, in fact -- The Time Monster and The Underwater Menace, most notably), he would have loved for his Doctor to have traveled to the mysterious lost city.

And, naturally, Smith was asked how he felt about his departure.

When you've gotta go, you've gotta go... It's sad I'm going to miss you and I'm going to miss Comic-Con too. Comic-Con is great, isn't it?... It wasn't an easy choice, it wasn't an easy decision to come to. But I don't know, you can't play it forever. And look, they'll get someone amazing, they'll get someone brilliant, they really will. And that's the great thing about the show. It continues, and the strength of it survives. It will get better and bigger, and keep it up, and you'll forget about me.

Forget him? Nah! You never forget your first. Or your second. Or any of the rest, really.

The entire panel is worth a look if you've got the time.
