Here's the latest on del Toro’s eagerly awaited Hulk TV project

A while back, acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro was prepping a little TV show that would have starred the Hulk. Then Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came along.

Speaking at San Diego’s Comic-Con during MTV’s Livestream, the head honcho of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, spoke about del Toro’s long-awaited series.

For the time being, the news ain’t so good, guys. Loeb told MTV that the project was currently “on pause,” adding that "the world of TV is about timing." Aka Marvel has to "wait for the right time, the right project, right place."

The project’s been stalled for a while now, stuck in development hell. But with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hitting our TV screens come fall, Marvel probably wants to see how the show will perform before green-lighting Guillermo del Toro’s Hulk TV project. Even then, it's not certain it will even see the light of day.

For the moment, Jeph Loeb says that they’re concentrating on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Are you disappointed--or even surprised--about this news?
