These might be the most badass TV billboards you'll see all year.
We're just two short months away from the kickoff of the 2013/2014 TV season, and that means promos of all shapes and sizes for all the new shows headed our way will be flooding the airwaves. It also means billboards. Lots and lots of billboards, particularly in Hollywood, where the major networks and studios will be trying to outbuzz each other all summer long. Usually these billboards are packed with text and bright colors to draw as much attention as possible, but there are other ways of catching the eye.
One show that's already got all of our attention is Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Joss Whedon-created ABC series that will follow the exploits of Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives in a world where superheroes are very much a reality. Though it's got a lot of buzz behind it already (and it'll definitely have more after Whedon and company cruise into San Diego Comic-Con in a few weeks), S.H.I.E.L.D. is not exempt from the billboard game. It's just playing the game in a different way. Check out this billboard spotted in Hollywood by Entertainment Weekly.
How cool is that? Black on black, no text, but definitely eye-catching. And how many fans would love to have that exact logo up on their walls? If this is how the billboard campaign starts, we can't wait to see what other cool displays ABC and Marvel are cooking up for us.
