Honest trailer for Last Airbender shows how far Shyamalan has fallen

Honest Trailers - The Last Airbender

As the box-office bomb After Earth has proven, M. Night Shyamalan’s name doesn’t mean nearly as much as it did a decade ago. So in honor of his tarnished reputation, here’s a hilarious “honest” trailer for one of his most hated flicks: The Last Airbender.

Based on the beloved animated series, Shyamalan’s live-action adaptation currently sits at a positively shameful 6 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Yeah, in case you’re wondering, that’s even worse than After Earth.

Why was it so bad? Many credit the fact that Shyamalan is a pretty awful director still riding the wave from his 1999 breakout The Sixth Sense, and Screen Junkies’ “honest” breakdown takes aim at every fault it can find. From pacing to the directorial style — it’s all on trial.

What did you think of Last Airbender? Was it as bad as advertised?
