4 long-unseen Thrones characters who'll make dramatic returns in S4

There are a couple of Game of Thrones characters who were conspicuously absent for the past one or two seasons who have been confirmed to return for the upcoming fourth season of the hit HBO fantasy series.

So who are they?

Below in our gallery are the four actors who will make their dramatic return. So head down to take a look before reading up below!

Other characters we’d like to see return who have yet to be confirmed: Lancel Lannister, played by Eugene Simon, who was last seen in “Blackwater” and has remained absent from the whole of season three.

Lysa’s son Robert Arryn, played by Lino Favioli (though we guess the character’s return is probably assured since Lysa is returning).

Ser Kevan Lannister (Ian Gelder), Lord Tywin Lannister’s younger brother and father to Lancel. He was last seen in the season two episode “The Prince of Winterfell.”

Ser Gregor “The Mountain That Rides” Clegane (played by Conan Stevens in season one, and by Ian Whyte in season two). Sandor “The Hound” Clegane’s (Rory McCann) older brother was also last seen in “The Prince of Winterfell.” Ser Gregor will have a major role to play in season four, so his return should be announced soon. However, will the role be recast, or will Whyte return? (We're asking because many fans were unhappy with Whyte as Ser Gregor. Will the powers-that-be at HBO keep faith in him?)

Are there other characters we’ve not seen in a while you’d like to see return to Game of Thrones for the fourth season?
