This R2-D2 cake actually projects Princess Leia's holographic plea for help

Finally, Obi-Wan Kenobi can have his cake and eat it too.

There have been an awful lot of officially licensed R2-D2 toys over the years. But an R2-D2 cake that can actually project an image? That's a new one for us.

And yet that is exactly what dad Marc Freilich gave his 6-year-old son for his birthday. The projection is achieved by having a projector attached to some PVC piping at the heart of the cake. That's the kind of smart and simple pastry engineering we'd expect from a Star Wars fan.
