Here's how much you'll pay if you want to own Luke Skywalker's pants

If you want to get into Mark Hamill's pants, it's gonna cost ya!

Is there any franchise more oversaturated with memorabilia than Star Wars? And with all the lightsabers, action figures, cups, cup holders, towels, bric-a-brac and knickknacks galore, what would it take to get fans like us excited?

How about the pants Mark Hamill wore in the first Star Wars movie? That would be something, now, wouldn't it? Well, since we're all on the same page here...

Yes. Really. 35 years after the fact, these pants still exist, and, we have to say, they're not in bad shape, either. But if you want Skywalker's trousers, we hope the pockets in your current pants are deep. Way deep.

Auctioneers who announced Monday that the pants would be coming up for auction anticipate that they'll go for somewhere between $70,000 and $100,000. We're pretty sure they won't accept Republic credits, either.

So -- any takers?
