Yes! Steven Moffat reveals Doctor Who S8 is 'definitely confirmed'

Doctor Who season eight is “definitely confirmed"? Heck, yeah! Or should we say: Geronimo!

If any of you had any itsy-bitsy, tiny doubts at the back of your mind that an eighth season of Doctor Who was upcoming after the show’s 50th anniversary in November, then you can now brush them all aside and throw them away in the Time Vortex.

Showrunner Steven Moffat has “definitely confirmed” season eight is indeed coming up.

During last night’s BAFTA Television Awards, Moffat addressed the issue, since he was bewildered (as are we, frankly) that some Doctor Who fans were unclear about the beloved show’s fate.

"This is a thing that just seems to have slipped by... so can I say it very firmly - series eight is absolutely, definitely confirmed," Moffat said.
"It is real and it's happening - it's [taking up] most of my time at the moment."
"I get people telling me [that series eight is] not really happening," he explained. "It really, definitely, honestly is!"

Season eight will feature current companion Clara, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. No confirmation has been made about Matt Smith's return as the Doctor.

So now that season eight has been officially confirmed by the Moff himself, are you relieved by the news? Did you guys have any doubts whatsoever that the show would return for season eight?
