Henry Cavill blew off Snyder's Man of Steel offer because of ... Warcraft?

Is Henry Cavill more like Superman or his alter ego Clark Kent? We'd say the latter. In a recent interview, the British actor revealed that he has some obsessive tendencies. Cavill loves videogames, so much so that they almost cost him his big break. He told GQ that he nearly missed out on Man of Steel because he was too busy playing World of Warcraft.

Cavill received a call from director Zack Snyder, but it was at a very inopportune time. “I saw it was him [calling], but the thing is, you can’t save World of Warcraft, you can’t pause it. It’s live.” Thankfully, everything worked out: He spoke to Snyder and accepted the part.

World of Warcraft isn't the only title Cavill's invested in. “I’ve been playing a lot of single-player games, like Skyrim,” he reveals. “Goodness, that’s a great game." Is there anyone out there who doesn't love with Skyrim? It seems as if Cavill's a legit geek, so he's definitely in the right genre.

Man of Steel opens in theaters June 14.
