Tony Stark can't seem to get over The Avengers in new Iron Man 3 clip

Marvel's Iron Man 3 - Clip 2

We’ve seen hints that Tony Stark could be grappling with some post-traumatic stress post-Avengers, and the latest Iron Man 3 clip shows he’s on the verge of cracking up.

It’s a great moment between Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) and Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Tony Stark has never seemed so human. It’s not an action-packed clip, but it’s tense, and you’ll be hanging on every word by the time it teasingly wraps up.

New director Shane Black seems to have a knack for stripping away the suit to see what’s underneath, and what he finds is a scared man trying to make sense of a world that just got a whole lot bigger. Aliens? Gods? That's a lot for even a billionaire genius to reconcile.

It’s a great way to kick off Phase 2, tackling the aftermath of The Avengers through the eyes of its most popular member. Stark tells us that everything has changed, and watching him come apart at the seams, it’s hard not to believe him.

Iron Man 3 opens May 3.
