Are there gonna be new seasons of Grimm and Revolution? NBC decides

NBC has announced renewals for two of its genre shows: Revolution and Grimm. The former is coming off a successful first season, while the latter is wrapping up its second. Multiple sources are reporting that both shows have been picked up for full 22-episode seasons.

Revolution is a collaboration between Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and J.J. Abrams (Lost, Fringe). It's also co-executive-produced by actor-director Jon Favreau (Iron Man). The series centers on survivors living in a world without electricity. It stars Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) and Tracy Spiridakos (Syfy's Being Human).

Grimm was created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. It's based on the classic Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales and stars David Giuntoli (Privileged) as the title character. The fantasy drama is Friday’s number-one series in adults 18-49. Therefore, we're not surprised by its pickup.

NBC also renewed three other shows in its lineup: Parenthood, Chicago Fire and Law and Order: SVU, which will be entering its 15th season.
