Sookie stands up to Jason + Alcide defends the pack in 2 True Blood clips

HBO may keep telling us that "waiting sucks" for True Blood season six, but with the help of two new cool clips, it sucks a little less.

While HBO is keeping our attention with the as-of-now awesome third season of Game of Thrones, they want to remind us that the denizens of Bon Temps are set to follow the inhabitants of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros with the upcoming sixth season of its hit vampire fantasy series True Blood.

The first clip has our faerie telepathic waitress Sookie (Anna Paquin) standing up to her big brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten) when he wants to shoot Nora (Lucy Griffiths) with a gun that holds wooden bullets.

Have a look:

The second clip shows Alcide (Joe Manganiello, still wearing his shirt for that scene, boo) acting the new pack leader that he is by defending Luna’s werewolf daughter. (That puppy is just too darn cute!)

Take a peek:

True Blood Season six will bare its fangs on HBO on June 16.
