So who's working with Batman now that he doesn't have a Robin?

With the latest incarnation of the Boy Wonder now gone, Batman's looking for some additional collaborators.

We all know by now that Batman's son and ally, Damian Wayne, was killed off by writer Grant Morrison in the pages of Batman Incorporated #8, and while the Internet may still be reeling from that news, Batman's still got crime to fight. On top of that, one of the five comics he's starring in is called Batman and Robin. So how does that series continue without a Robin? Well, the title's going to go through a few changes in the coming months.

Next week (March 13, to be exact), Batman and Robin #18 will feature its final appearance of Damian Wayne in a "silent" (meaning without word balloons) issue. After that, the book will go through some changes as Batman teams up with various members of the Bat-Family in lieu of working with Robin. So who's Batman teaming up with?

Well, in issue #19 (April, 2013), the comic will be retitled Batman and Red Robin (Tim Drake, the third Robin), followed by Batman and Red Hood (Jason Todd, the second Robin) in May, followed by Batman and Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) in June, followed by Batman and Catwoman in July and Batman and Nightwing (Dick Grayson, the original Robin) in August. Of course, that's only what DC Comics has revealed to us so far. There could be even more intriguing pairings come fall.
Obviously the death of Damian Wayne will reverberate through the Batman titles for a while, but it's nice to know Bruce Wayne has so many other heroes willing to help him out. In the meantime, we have to wonder what's to become of the Robin mantle. It's never vacant for long. When will Batman choose his next permanent sidekick, and who will it be?
