The 1st full glimpse of Doctor Who's new Ice Warriors is here!

It's been nearly 40 years since the Ice Warriors last graced our TV screens. How have the years treated them? Let's find out!

Mark Gatiss's episode, which pits the Martians against the Doctor all whilst in the tight confines of a submarine, is rumored to be called The Cold War and is set to debut next month. That is when we will finally see the Ice Warriors in action. In the meantime, however, let's check out their redesign.

This is actually an incredibly faithful adaptation of the original design. The mask is nearly identical. The torso is a bit more heavily armored looking, but is otherwise very similar to the '70s incarnation. The biggest change is that they traded out their lego stumps for actual hands! If ever there were a worthwhile change, it's that.

But will they look as exciting in action, or will that suit force the actor inside to lumber around in a way that is less scary and more unintentionally hilarious? All we can do for now is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

But in the meantime, what do you think?
