1st 3 actors cast for Doctor Who's 50th anniversary special

The first casting news for Doctor Who’s upcoming 50th-anniversary special has been revealed!

The only downside is, it’s not any former Doctors, nor even former companions, but brand-new characters.

According to actor Ken Bones' CV—he was most recently seen in the BBC's revival of Upstairs Downstairs and will appear in Starz’s upcoming DaVinci’s Demons as well as the BBC's upcoming new fantasy series Atlantis—he is playing a character that is simply called the General. (Could he be a Time Lord? It sort of sounds Time Lord-ish to us. Food for thought.)

A newcomer actor by the name of Orlando James (not to be confused with Orlando Jones) will play a character called Lord Bentham.

Also, and according to his agents, an actor by the name of Marshall Griffin has been cast on Doctor Who's upcoming big 5.0, but there’s no name for his character just yet.
