Cleaning up after monsters is a big job in 2 new Pacific Rim pics

Well, someone has to deal with the mess after the guys with the giant robots do their job.

Legendary Pictures has been teasing us with a steady stream of new images from Guillermo del Toro's monster epic Pacific Rim over the past few days, and today we've got two new stills from the film that emphasize the aftermath of all those giant monsters rampaging about.

The first is captioned "We will rebuild the city around its bones," and features a gigantic kaiju skeleton laying among under-construction skyscrapers. The second is captioned "Kaiju Blue clean-up detail: an endless, thankless task" and features quite a few humans working hard on a beach to mop up some of that blue kaiju goop we've seen in previous images from the flick.

Though the main plot of the film seems to focus on the pilots of "Jaegers" -- the giant robots built to fight the kaiju -- as they battle for humanity's future, it's nice to see some love for the people who have to deal with the mess.

Pacific Rim hits theaters July 12. Check out the images in the gallery below.
