Look which sequel Tron might appear in besides Tron 3

While Tron 3 may or may not be happening, there's another sequel that Tron himself might be invited to appear in.

In an interview with Coming Soon, Wreck-It Ralph director Rich Moore said that he would love to have Tron (originally played by Bruce Boxleitner) show up in a followup to his massively successful and well-liked animated videogame movie.

In fact, Moore revealed that Tron was initially set to make a cameo in Wreck-It Ralph itself. "I can't specifically remember why that didn't happen," Moore said, adding, "Of course, with a sequel, I'm hoping that we can find a way to see Tron himself in that movie."

Along with Tron, Moore said he'd like to see Nintendo icon Mario in Wreck-It Ralph 2 as well. And while a second chapter in Moore's videogame adventures has yet to be officially announced, the first movie's $375 million haul at the worldwide box office and its nomination for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature all but make another trip to the arcade a lock.

Tron himself might have plenty of time on his hands to make a cameo: Although there is reportedly a script written for Tron 3, with both director Joseph Kosinski and star Garrett Hedlund attached, the project doesn't seem to be moving forward very quickly at this point.

Would you like to see Tron in the sequel to Wreck-It Ralph? What other popular game characters should turn up in the second movie?
