The Avengers meet The Breakfast Club in weirdly funny fake trailer

What if the biggest superhero blockbuster of all time had been directed by the legendary John Hughes?

YouTube user Don Draper Says What (who first achieved viral fame with this video) decided to find out by blending footage from Joss Whedon's 2012 blockbuster The Avengers with audio from the theatrical trailer for Hughes' classic 1985 teen comedy The Breakfast Club

So the story of how Earth's Mightiest Heroes saved the world from a powerful invading force has suddenly become the story of a Brain (Tony Stark), a Beauty (Black Widow), a Rebel (Loki), a Jock (Captain America) and a Recluse (Bruce Banner) all trapped under the thumb of a tyrannical principal (Nick Fury). Together, they learn they've got more in common than they ever imagined.

The audio doesn't exactly sync, but it's close enough that you get the idea, and the way the footage mixes with the original Breakfast Club dialogue produces more than a few laughs. Check it out below.
