Long-lost Terminator 2 FX reel shows how they made Judgment Day

Even though it's more than 20 years old, Terminator 2: Judgment Day still stands out for its quality FX work. Want to finally get a look at how they made some of the most iconic shots in sci-fi history?

The dream sequences and flash-forwards to the Skynet-occupied future remain some of the best examples of a burned-out post-apocalypse ever put to film. Plus, the liquid-metal kills from Robert Patrick’s T-1000 are just as frightening now as they were when this flick opened all the way back in 1991.

Some vintage footage showing famed effects supervisor Stan Winston’s work on the film has recently surfaced, and it’s amazing to see the early-'90s tactics used to make that vaporizing bomb and T-1000 attacks look so great.
