You gotta be excited about Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. Not only will it mark Singer’s proper return to the X-franchise and feature one of the most popular X-Men storylines ever, it’ll also boast an amazing ensemble cast reuniting both old and new actors in the comic-book movie franchise.
We'll have a returning James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), plus Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine, Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto), Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), Anna Paquin (Rogue) and Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde) returning for what Singer calls the “biggest” X-Men movie yet!
"I'm excited about all the actors," Singer said to UK E Online last night during the premiere of his new film Jack the Giant Slayer, also starring Hoult as Jack. "It's an incredible cast. It's a great story, and it involves a lot of stuff that hasn't been in X-Men films before. New kinds of technology, science fiction aspects."
But what about Halle Berry, who played Storm?
"It depends on how it works out. I loved working with Halle, so all I can say is we'll see what happens."
Sounds to us that Singer is being very noncommittal regarding the former Oscar winner. Or could it be he know more than he's letting? Either way, a lot depends on the meaning of "it depends."
Also notably absent (for now) from the roster of returning actors are Famke Janssen (Jean Grey), James Marsden (Cyclops) and Rebecca Romijn (the original Mystique).
So, do you want to see Halle Berry return to X-Men: Days of Future Past? Or would you rather see the role either be re-cast or not included into the storyline at all?
X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theatres on July 18, 2014.
