Singer drops hints about Thrones star's role in X-Men sequel

Bryan Singer is bringing back a ton of cast members from the recent X-Men films for his sequel Days of Future Past, and he recently made a very interesting addition with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage. But who is he playing?

Well, we still don’t know, but Singer has offered us a few hints about which character the fantasy star might bring to life in the world of mutants and time travel.

Here’s what he told IGN:

“He’s not going to be a CGI character. He’ll be himself. Not that he’ll be playing Peter Dinklage, he’ll be playing this character. It’s not a shy character. He’s just such a phenomenal actor; I’m a huge fan of Peter’s and Game of Thrones. He was my first choice and I was really happy [about the casting]. It’s so funny to talk to him because he does that impeccable accent [on Game of Thrones] and then you talk to him and he’s this guy from New Jersey.”

So what’d we learn? We at least know we’ll get to see Dinklage in action, and he won’t be relegated to doing motion capture or CGI work. In the same interview, Singer also cast doubt on the rumor that Dinklage could be playing the spunky mutant Puck.

So the mystery character is still anyone’s guess. Who do you put your money on?
