Has Hell frozen over? Michael Bay and Megan Fox reunite for TMNT

After collaborating on two Transformers films, Michael Bay and Megan Fox are together again. The director announced the news Thursday on his official website. His latest blog post was short and to the point. “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!”

We assume Fox will be the leading lady in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. When it comes to that property, the first human role we think of is April O'Neil. She's a TV reporter and trusted ally to Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Master Splinter.

The last time Bay and Fox worked together was in 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The duo parted ways in 2010 before production began on its followup, Dark of the Moon. Variety reported that Bay wanted to take the storyline in a new direction. He removed Fox's Mikaela as Sam's (Shia LaBeouf) love interest and replaced her with Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The director claimed his decision had nothing to do with comments Fox made criticizing his on-set behavior. In an interview with a British magazine, the actress compared the director to Adolf Hitler. Ouch! It's good to see there's no bad blood between these two.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is slated to hit theaters in May 2014.
