1st tantalizing peek at Amazing Spider-Man 2's redesigned suit

With production underway, director Marc Webb has embraced Twitter to keep fans up to date with the latest happenings on the set of Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now, he’s finally give us our first peek at the redesigned Spidey suit.

Webb teased a few months ago that the 2.0 version of the suit will feature “gnarly web shooters” and “bigger eyes.” We don’t know how those web shooters have turned out, but we do have a look at the bigger eyes that Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) will be rocking.

Some sneaky, tight shots of the new mask are embedded in a brief video that Webb put together and tweeted. An embed isn’t available, but you can find it here:

It’s hard to get a grasp of the dimensions, but the shape definitely bears a resemblance to the Ultimate Spider-Man design, with larger eye areas on a darker suit. It’ll be interesting to see if Webb is just tweaking the suit, or making wholesale changes.

Here’s a screengrab from the clip:

What do you think? Do you prefer the original design, or do you think Webb should make some changes?
