Walking Dead hits new high, Once hits new low + 36 other genre shows

Other shows may be struggling, but there's one show that just keeps proving it's basically unstoppable these days: The Walking Dead.

Check out our numbers and commentary below for more on how your favorite shows did last week in Live + Same Day viewers and ratings.

MONDAY

Being Human (Syfy) 1.04 million viewers/0.5

Being Human took a hefty drop this week, but it still managed to stay above 1 million viewers and wound up with the best rating of any of Syfy's Monday shows.

Continuum (Syfy) 1.08 million viewers/0.4

Continuum lost viewers again but held on to its ratings score. We'll see if it can ever pick up more points in that key demo score.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.84 million viewers/0.4

Lost Girl broke even with its ratings score but took a big drop in viewers for its least-watched episode ever. It's been down low before and bounced back, though, so we'll see if a recovery is on the horizon.

Revolution (NBC) — OFF

Revolution is on a long midseason break. We won't see it again until March.

WEDNESDAY

Arrow (CW) 2.96 million viewers/1.0/3 share

Arrow broke even in viewers and picked up a tenth of a ratings point. It's not where it was a few weeks ago, but it still rivals The Vampire Diaries in terms of audience, and it just got renewed, so The CW's definitely still enthusiastic about it.

Dragons: Riders of Berk (TOON) 1.45 million viewers/0.3

Dragons returned this week to its worst performance ever, but that could just be because it's been gone so long. It's still got plenty of episodes left to dig its way out of this hole.

The Neighbors (ABC) 6.04 million viewers/1.7/5 share

The Neighbors recovered after a drop last week, pulling back over the 6-million-viewer mark.

Supernatural (CW) 2.29 million viewers/1.0/3 share

Supernatural got another boost this week, pulling in its best numbers since November. That, plus word that it's getting another season, makes this a good week for Supernatural fans. .

American Horror Story (FX) — Returns Fall 2013

THURSDAY

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 18.98 million viewers/6.2/18 share

The Big Bang Theory did what it does every week: clobbered every other show on Thursday night.

Person of Interest (CBS) 14.88 million viewers/3.1/8 share

Person of Interest dropped a bit this week but remained a strong part of the CBS Thursday night block.

Elementary (CBS) 10.84 million viewers/2.2/6 share

Elementary broke even this week, holding on to its position as one of the top new shows of the season.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) 2.50 million viewers/1.1/3 share

The Vampire Diaries dropped again this week, for its lowest episode since last April. History tells us it'll bounce back, but even if it doesn't it's still the strongest show its network has, and it's already been renewed.

Beauty and the Beast (CW) 1.48 million viewers/0.6/1 share

Beauty and the Beast dropped again this week. It's still struggling, but it's struggling less than many other shows on The CW right now, so there's a good chance we'll see more of it.

Archer (FX) 1.27 million viewers/0.9

Archer took another small drop this week, but so far it's still having a very good year.

FRIDAY

Touch (FOX) 3.94 million viewers/1.1/3 share

The last time we saw Touch was a September leftover episode that brought the show's lowest ratings and viewership ever. Fans might have hoped that was a one-time disappointment, but last Friday's season-two premiere didn't fare much better. It pulled in only a third of the series premiere audience last year. There's always a chance the show will recover in the coming weeks, but this isn't a good way to start.

Merlin (Syfy) 1.48 million viewers/0.4

Merlin broke even this week. It's not where it was at the start of the season, but it's still doing well for a Friday night show.

Spartacus: War of the Damned (Starz) 0.95 million viewers/0.3

After a bad first week and even worse second week, the third week of Spartacus: War of the Damned actually managed to gain viewers. The bad news: The show is still miles away from where it was last season.

Grimm (NBC) — OFF

Grimm is off until March.

Completed Shows

Fringe (FOX) — Run ended after five seasons

SATURDAY

Clone Wars (TOON) -- OFF

Clone Wars had the week off. We'll see it again next week.

Shows on Hiatus

Bedlam (BBC) — Returns Unknown

Doctor Who (BBC) — Returns March 30, 2013

SUNDAY

Once Upon a Time (ABC) 7.08 million viewers/2.2/5 share

Once Upon a Time returned from a break to another drop in viewers and ratings. This was the show's worst performance ever, but it was going head to head with the Grammy Awards, so we'll see if this is a permanent problem or just a temporary setback.

666 Park Avenue (ABC) — OFF

666 Park Avenue has been pulled from the ABC lineup. We'll let you know if we find out when those final episodes will hit the airwaves (if they ever do).

The Walking Dead (AMC) 12.26 million viewers/6.1

The Walking Dead premiered its third season last fall by posting the highest demo score of any basic cable series ever. It was proof that the show was continuing to spread its influence after a robust second season that was itself kind of unbelievable. Now, with its midseason return, the show has surpassed even those numbers, once again breaking a basic cable demo score record and pulling in more viewers than it ever has before. There are episodes from season two that had half the viewers this episode had, and those were considered good performances. Just how high can this show climb?
