Behind-the-scenes video exposes how Thrones swords are forged

Ever wanted to know how they forge all those cool swords on Game of Thrones? Now you can in a new webseries presented by HBO that shows us what it takes to forge one of those babies. First up—Jaime Lannister’s very cool sword.

This new web series is called “Man at Arms” and features Hollywood swordsmith and propmaster extraordinaire Tony Swatton who's created tons of famous weapons both for the small and big screens (Pirates of the Caribbean, Zorro, Blade, just to name a few).

Today, Swatton shows us how he forged and created Jaime Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) sword.

Believe us when we say that it’s pretty darn awe-inspiring to see the amount of work put into crafting those weapons that are nothing less than works of art. There are loads of long, loving crafting hours put into them that's for sure.

Have a look:

We don't know about you, but this is one sword we'd love to display on our walls ... where its probably gonna be safer than if it were in our clumsy, clumsy hands.

What did you think of the cool video? Feeling ready to craft and forge your own sword?
