Trek actor insists Cumberbatch ain't Khan (but should we believe?)

The saga continues...

Last week, we reported on an image which was absolutely not doctored and referred to Benedict Cumberbatch very specifically as "Khan." Since then, fans have weighed in on whether that was true, an error or just a means to sell magazines.

Over the weekend, however, actor Alice Eve, who plays Dr. Carol Marcus in Star Trek Into Darkness, insisted that Cumberbatch was not playing the classic baddie. While being interviewed at the BAFTAs she stated, rather bluntly, "He's not playing Khan."

Whether that's true or she was specifically told not to say that, we'll leave to you.  Here's the video.  Tell us -- do you think she's telling the truth?
