The True Blood sex scene Stephen Moyer wants but HBO keeps turning down

The sun is about to set for good on the denizens of Bon Temps as True Blood ends its bloody run with its seventh and last season next summer. But hopefully not before a certain sex scene that Stephen Moyer's been pushing for years.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, British actor Moyer--who plays vampire Bill Compton and our fave human-fairy waitress Sookie Stackhouse’s (Anna Paquin) former beau--revealed how he and fellow actor Alexander Skarsgard, who plays Eric Northman on the series, actually pushed to have a love scene between their two very alpha-male vamp characters. Remember the bromance? Yeah ... we do, too.

Alex (Skarsgard) and I have been pushing for an Eric-Bill love scene for a long time, but they always said no. But our dream would be for my football team, West Ham United, to play his Swedish team, and would end up in some match-up that Bill and Eric happen to be able to get to.

Would anyone of you guys root for an Eric-Bill love scene? The closest we've had on the show was Sookie's dream about having a threesome with both Bill and Eric. And talking about Sookie, what about Bill’s chances at a reconciliation with his former love?

I don’t know whether it’s possible given everything that’s happened. The first mistakes he made at the beginning of the relationship were definitely mistakes that were trying to protect her. It’s not anything he was doing that was necessarily bad. He was sent there, but he kept that from her purely because he didn’t want to hurt her and he didn’t know he was going to fall in love with this girl. I think that he will always be and always was a key for Sookie to unlocking her womanhood and who she became and who she is and who she was. She won’t forget that part of him. Whether there’s any possibility of anything else, I don't know.

What do you guys think? Do you believe HBO will finally give in and give the fans (and Moyer and Skarsgard) an Eric-Bill love scene? And will Sookie ever forgive Bill?
