Walking Dead actress confesses to sending ricin to Pres. Obama

You remember that weird story about a former Walking Dead actress who was arrested for sending the poison ricin to President Obama? Well, she’s now confessed to the crime.

Texas native Shannon Richardson, who has had minor gigs on The Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries, was arrested back in June for sending letters laced with ricin to President Barack Obama and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.

She has accepted a plea deal that caps her prison time at 18 years.

Richardson entered a formal guilty plea this week, after first trying to implicate her husband, Nathan Richardson, for the crime. Nathan has not been charged in the case. She has now confessed to ordering materials used to manufacture ricin, and sending the letters.

In her confession, Richardson admitted to printing out mailing labels for the letters after her husband had left for work. The one sent to the president read (excuse the grammar): "What's in this letter is nothing compared to what ive got in store for you mr president. You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face."

She’s also reportedly agreed to tell authorities who else might have been involved, though no one was named in the confession.

Not surprisingly, Nathan Richardson has filed for divorce and has been granted temporary custody of the couple's newborn son.
