Arrow episode synopsis teases the arrival of another big DC villain

We got Deadshot, we got the al Ghul family, and now another DC Comics villain is making his way to the Arrow universe.

Arrow is beginning to build toward its big two-part midseason finale right now, which will see both the introduction of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), aka the Flash, and a few other surprises. Allen will show up in Dec. 4's penultimate 2013 episode, "The Scientist," and his story will continue the following week in the midseason finale, "Three Ghosts." But as this newly released synopsis for "Three Ghosts" reveals, another DC Comics icon will emerge as well, in some form or another. Take a look at the synopsis and see if you spot who we're referring to.

OLIVER IS VISITED BY GHOSTS FROM THE PAST — After a fight with Cyrus Gold AKA the Acolyte (guest star Graham Shiels), Oliver (Stephen Amell) is drugged and left for dead. Determined to cure him, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) makes a risky decision. The cure causes Oliver to hallucinate, and what he sees forces him to confront his past. Meanwhile, Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) continues to help Felicity, and their connection grows stronger. The Arrow asks Lance (Paul Blackthorne) to look into Gold, but when the stakeout on Gold goes bad, someone is killed. Roy (Colton Haynes) is captured and tortured by Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Geoff Johns & Ben Sokolowski

Did you see it? That's the right, we'll be seeing the introduction of Cyrus Gold to the Arrow-verse. Apparently here, he'll start life with the nickname of "The Acolyte," but fans of DC Comics might know him better by his afterlife name, Solomon Grundy. Yes, the hulking undead sometime member of the Legion of Doom started life in the comics as Cyrus Gold. Will Arrow eventually take that bold step and turn him into the hulking hunk of zombie we all know and love? We'll have to watch and see.

"Three Ghosts," the midseason finale of Arrow, will air on Dec. 11 at 8/7C on The CW.
