Almost Human starts strong, S.H.I.E.L.D. hits low + 42 other genre shows

If its premiere numbers are any indication, Almost Human could be one of the season's most successful new series.

The J.J. Abrams-produced sci-fi drama premiered on a football-dominated broadcast night to ratings that put it on top of every other scripted broadcast show for the evening. It's a strong start, but now we have to wait and see if it'll last. Meanwhile, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hit another new low (but that doesn't mean it's doomed), The Walking Dead stayed dominant, The Neighbors moved one step closer to what looks like certain cancellation, and Sleepy Hollow showed some resilience.

Check out the numbers and commentary below to see how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day ratings.

MONDAY, November 11

Sleepy Hollow (FOX) 7.03 million viewers/2.6/7 share

Sleepy Hollow bounced back this week after hitting a low with its last episode. It still ranks as one of the most successul new shows of the season, and it's still holding on to a sizable chunk of its demo score every week.

Beauty and the Beast (CW) 0.75 million viewers/0.3/1 share

Beauty and the Beast got a small boost in viewers and held its demo score, but both numbers are still low even for The CW. Unless it can keep climbing, season two might be this show's last.

TUESDAY, November 12

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC) 6.67 million viewers/2.2/6 share

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dropped yet again to another new low in viewers and demo score. It's become a familiar story, but if you're a fan of the show, don't panic yet. Even with this slip, it's still one of the highest-rated shows ABC has right now. If it keeps falling, start worrying more. For now, just hope it improves.

Person of Interest (CBS) 12.60 million viewers/2.0/6 share

Person of Interest got a boost across the board to improve its November sweeps showing.

Supernatural (CW) 2.36 million viewers/1.1/3 share

Supernatural gained viewers, demo points and a share point this week for its best night since the season premiere.

The Originals (CW) 2.40 million viewers/1.1/3 share

The Originals bounced back from a drop to earn its highest viewership ever, and a strong demo score to boot. It's well on its way to a second season if it keeps this up.

Ravenswood (ABC Family) 1.07 million viewers/0.5

Ravenswood finally bounced back this week to gain a little bit in the key demo. We'll see if the climb continues.

WEDNESDAY, November 13

American Horror Story: Coven (FX) 4.16 million viewers/2.3

Coven continued to climb this week to earn its best viewership and ratings numbers in nearly a month.

Arrow (CW) 3.09 million viewers/1.2/3 share

Arrow got another boost this week to hit its highest numbers across the board of the season so far. All those new developments are really paying off.

Revolution (NBC) 5.17 million viewers/1.5/4 share

Revolution lost a few viewers but actually picked up a tenth of a point in its key demo score for the first time in five weeks. That's not enough to redeem it, but it's a start.

The Tomorrow People (CW) 1.65 million viewers/0.6/1 share

The Tomorrow People held in its demo score but picked up a few more viewers. It's not exactly a heavy hitter on The CW right now, but these numbers might be good enough to keep it around.

THURSDAY, November 14

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 18.30 million viewers/5.2/17 share

The Big Bang Theory got a very nice boost this week for its best overall numbers since the extremely successful season premiere.

Elementary (CBS)  8.54 million viewers/1.6/5 share

Elementary took another drop this week, losing both viewers and demo points to hit its lowest rating ever. It's not in any real trouble yet, though.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) 2.72 million viewers/1.3/4 share

The Vampire Diaries held a solid demo score and gained a few viewers for another good week.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (ABC) 3.73 million viewers/0.9/3 share

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland held its demo score and picked up a few viewers, but it's still in a lot of trouble.

DreamWorks' Dragons: Defenders of Berk (TOON) 1.33 million viewers/0.3

Dragons lost both viewers and ratings points, but it's rebounded from slumps before.

Dracula had a very weak showing last week, and this week wasn't much better. It basically broke even. We'll see if there's any chance of redemption in the weeks to come.

Grimm (NBC) 5.81 million viewers/1.6/5 share

Grimm got a very good boost to both viewers and demo score this week for an episode with numbers much closer to the strong season premiere. We'll see if it keeps up as we head into the holiday season.

Haven (Syfy) 1.57 million viewers/0.4

Haven slipped a bit this week, but still had a night as good as or better than most of the episodes last season.

The Neighbors (ABC) 3.95 million viewers/0.8/3 share

The Neighbors slipped once again this week to hit a new low in both viewers and demo score. It's been doing that a lot this season, and that's why it looks like season two will be its last.

Once Upon a Time (ABC) 6.66 million viewers/1.9/5 share

Once Upon a Time fell again this week to its lowest viewership and demo score ever. That's bad news, but this show's not done fighting yet.

Witches of East End (Lifetime) 1.61 million viewers/0.5

Witches of East End picked up viewers but hit a new ratings low. We'll see if it can rebound.
