It's the secret the BBC doesn't want us to know, but someone with a big mouth has spilled the beans anyway. Guess Who?
The Doctor Who 50th-anniversary episode, "The Day of the Doctor," stars only three versions of the titular character. Or does it? Swallow your jelly babies and put down the scarf, Madame Nostradamus, because this spoiler is enormous.
According to fourth and longest-serving Doctor, Tom Baker, someone else will be in the special -- him!
I am in the special. I’m not supposed to tell you that, but I tell you that very willingly and specifically; the BBC told me not to tell anybody but I’m telling you straightaway.
That's very exciting (not to mention a real bite of the proverbial thumb by Tom towards the BBC), but before you die and regenerate over this news, let's keep in mind that Steven Moffat has a knack for getting people to lie on his behalf. So, as thrilling as the possibility of Baker's return is, it could be the creative team pulling our collective leg.
What we're saying is, be happy, but don't let your two hearts swell too large, or else they might burst into teeny tiny pieces should Moffat be secretly planning to break them.
