Did 8th Doctor Paul McGann just tease his involvement in Who’s 50th?

Is Paul McGann stirring up the rumor mill concerning his possible involvement in Doctor Who’s upcoming big 5.0 special episode?

Sure looks like it.

The actor—who played the Eighth Doctor in 1996’s Doctor Who movie—tweeted something very mysterious indeed that got plenty of fans excited:

Of course, what followed was the actor’s explanation as to this rather mysterious tweet, saying: “I should explain. It was by way of an aural experiment to find out how similar we might sound. We didn’t. And he’s better looking too.”

Yep, we believe you, Mr. McGann ... or do we?

The actor has previously denied any involvement in the special, saying: “No, I’m not in the 50th, though plenty of beautiful and talented people are.”

Guess we’ll have to wait and see on Nov. 23 if McGann is indeed involved in the 50th-anniversary special now, shall we? (And he bloody well should, just our two cents here. Maybe a little regeneration scene between him and John Hurt's mysterious Doctor?)
