Terrifying fan trailer for Texas Chainsaw prequel is better than most real sequels

The Best There Ever Was promo trailer

Hollywood has been cranking out mostly uninspired sequels ever since the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre scared the hell out of us back in 1974, but now someone has a fresh idea — and we really, really wish it would happen.

The folks at the little production studio 2 Man Production have put together a fan-love concept trailer for a potential Texas Chain Saw prequel dubbed The Best There Ever Was, which focuses on an adolescent Leatherface where he learns how to become a killer.

With freaky family dynamics, some hapless victims trying to escape and a hella-terrifying Grandpa Leatherface showing him how to kill — this one make one fun romp of a movie. Hell, it almost makes you feel bad for Leatherface. Seriously, Hollywood, make this happen.

Here's the synopsis for the would-be prequel:

This is a promotional trailer for a prequel to the original 1974 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The story is centered around the Grandpa from the original film but he is much younger and Bubba Sawyer (leatherface) is just a kid. The movie will be based on how the Grandpa raised young Bubba to be who he is going to be.

Check out the bone-chilling concept trailer above and let us know what you think.
