TV THIS WEEK: Arrow battles Vertigo, Vampire Diaries, Merlin and more!

If you're missing Fringe, you can get a little shot of the show when Seth Gabel joins Arrow this week as the Count, aka Count Vertigo, the latest bad guy from the comics to make an appearance. We'll also get more Vampire Diaries action regarding the vampire cure, and Merlin and King Arthur face their individual crossroads in Merlin.

Also this week, Kiera hunts for a killer on Continuum, a teen with a wolfy problem pops up on Being Human, the humans battle to save their Fae friends on Lost Girl, the makeup artists deal with a big twist on Face Off, Sam and Dean meet someone who claims to be their time-traveling grandpa on Supernatural, Reese must deal with a cyber terrorist on Person of Interest, Vincent is conflicted on Beauty & The Beast, Sherlock gets suspended on Elementary, and Archer's fear of cyborgs becomes an issue.

Continuum (Syfy) 8 p.m. - “Wasting Time”

Kiera and Carlos are on the case when a string of victims end up with mysterious holes bored into their skulls.

Josh and Nora try to help a teen runaway with a problem. Meanwhile, Sally is determined to make things right with Troy, and Aidan and Henry go on the hunt for untainted blood.

Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - “Vertigo”

Guest-star alert! Fringe's Seth Gabel checks in to Arrow as the Count, the villain behind a new drug called Vertigo. Meanwhile, Thea is arrested when she's caught with the drug, and it could mean jail time, so Laurel decides to defend her in court.

Supernatural (The CW) 9 p.m. - “As Time Goes By”

Sam and Dean are shocked to discover a man (Gil McKinney) who traveled through time to stop a demon just might be a young incarnation of their grandfather.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9 p.m. - “Prescription For Fear”

TAPS investigates the Peoria Asylum in Bartonville, Ill., which has been closed for nearly 40 years. While the site is being renovated, the work has not gone as planned due to strange occurrences that might be paranormal.

Ghost Mine (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “Vengeful Spirit”

The miners find what they're looking for, but unexplained power outages lead Kristen and Patrick to an encounter with a spirit.

On ABC's The Neighbors (8:30 p.m.), the Weavers and the Bird-Kersees compete for a membership at a new exclusive country club in “The Back Nine.” And on the Science Channel's Dark Matters: Extra Twisted (10 p.m.), deeper insight and new information is revealed on science's most unethical stories, including neurologist Egas Moniz's attempts to cure mental illness.


Thursday, Jan. 31

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8 p.m. - “The Cooper/Kripke Inversion”

Outrage ensues on Sheldon's part when he's forced to work with Barry Kripke. Meanwhile, Howard and Raj decide to get expensive action figures of themselves.

Friday, Feb. 1

Merlin (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “The Disir”

Three soothsayers, the Disir, challenge Arthur to return to the old religion or else Camelot will suffer their wrath. Colin Morgan (aka Merlin) is fresh off his win over Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock and Matt Smith as Doctor Who as having the Best Drama Performance at the National Television Awards. Not bad, considering this is Merlin's final season.

On Starz' Spartacus: War of the Damned (9 p.m.), Spartacus goes after food and shelter for his people in “Wolves at the Gate.” On the Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures (9 p.m.), the team relive investigations that took them underground. And on the channel's The Dead Files (10 p.m.), Amy and Steve travel to Forester, MI, for their latest investigation and find evidence of two fires.


Saturday, Feb. 2

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon) 9:30 a.m. - “The Lawless”

On the Cartoon Network there are new episodes of Ben 10: Omniverse (9 a.m.), Green Lantern: The Animated Series (10 a.m.) and Young Justice: Invasion (10:30 a.m.). And the Bio Channel's Celebrity Ghost Stories (9 p.m.) has a new episode featuring celebs who just can't wait to tell their own ghost stories. Also, the channel offers up the new series, Supernatural Sisters, featuring New Jersey psychic medium Cathy Roller and her psychic sister, Laura Johnson, as they use their special abilities to help the living and the dead.
