The Governor and Rick finally face off in new Walking Dead promo

When The Walking Dead returns, Rick and The Governor will come face to face. AMC's released a new promo for the midseason premiere with lots of new footage including their confrontation. After losing his eye, and what's left of his mind, The Governor's on the warpath. He tells Andrea, "I won't get caught slipping again."

Those are words to live by. But he's found a formidable oppenent in Rick. He's lost too much and is hellbent on making The Governor pay. When they finally meet, Rick says, "So here we are." The Governor replies," We have a lot to talk about." Talking is the last thing on either of their minds.

The Governor kidnapped and tortured two of Rick's people and threw Daryl to the wolves. On the other hand, Rick infiltrated his camp, killed his men and aligned himself with Michonne, whom The Governor despises. She's the woman who "killed" Penny and slashed his eye. There's just no coming back from that.

The Walking Dead returns Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
