Emma Frost gets the cold shoulder from X-Men: Days of Future Past

Bryan Singer's thrown everything but the kitchen sink into X-Men: Days of Future Past. The director's pulled stars from both the original and new franchises. Newbies like James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will share their characters with veterans Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.

Unfortunately, not everyone who appeared in X-Men: First Class was asked to return. January Jones, who played the stoic Emma Frost, doesn't think she'll be back. In a recent interview, she revealed that she hasn't been contacted about the film.

“I don’t know that I’m in it, I don’t think Emma’s in this one," Jones said. "Well they haven’t told me if I am [laughs]. I wouldn’t put it past them though, I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there. It’s called Days of Future Past I think, and I think it’s more about James [McAvoy] and Michael [Fassbender] and then Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellan], and I think it’s gonna go back and forth with those so I don’t think Emma’s in those bits. I don’t know, I really don’t know.”

At the end of First Class, Frost joined forces with Magneto after being freed from confinement. Perhaps they severed ties somewhere between then, now and the time jumps that take place in the sequel?

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters July 18, 2014.

Do you think Emma Frost should return?
