New Thrones S3 video spotlights new characters and new scenes

HBO has just released the second of its video 'vlogs' for the upcoming third season of Game of Thrones. The best part besides Bryan Cogman? We get another peek at some upcoming brand new scenes as well as a look into some new characters and a few returning favorites.

Titled "Molding the Book Into a Series," the new video has Bryan Cogman—story editor and keeper of all things A Song of Ice and Fire—talking about how they go about adapting the massive books for the hit fantasy TV series.

What's pretty awesome about this video, besides getting another peek into season three by showing us some brand new scenes along with some interesting snippets of dialogue, is that it also offers us a look at some brand new characters—particularly Dame Diana Rigg's Queen of Thorns, Olenna Redwyne.

Still, it's also really good to see some of our favorite characters return (yeah, we're looking at you, Peter Dinklage Tyrion).

Have a look:

We can't help but love the fact that Cogman says that "in many ways this season is a little more intimate. There are a lot more character driven scenes." Yep we really, really love that. Bring it on.

Game of Thrones season 3 will return to HBO on March 31, 2013. How excited about the upcoming third season are you?
