Hilarious fake trailer for fake slasher movie: The Fake Geek Girl!

Not too long ago, comic artist Tony Harris royally stepped in it when he accused women cosplaying at comic conventions of being "fake." His opinion launched a war of words between him and just about everyone else on the Internet. But as they say, he who laughs last laughs best, and this video is a hilarious response to the entire debacle.

So what is the truth? Can women really like comic books? Do girls who dress up in costumes do it for more than just getting attention? Is there such a thing as a "geek girl?"

Yes. Duh.

Moving on, though—Patrick Willems of Lumberjack Films saw an opportunity to really play up the fear of the geek girl. How? Why, through the magic of the slasher genre, naturally! In his short, The Fake Geek Girl, a number of unassuming and innocent fellows (who, of course, are lovers of comics) fall prey to a girl who uses her knowledge of obscure X-Men characters to lure them into her lair. "Come into my parlor," said the spider to the fly.

Then she kills them. With a knife.

The horror! Is no man-nerd safe?!
