NBC officially makes decision on Bryan Fuller's Mockingbird Lane

It's taken years to get here, but we finally know the fate of Bryan Fuller's Mockingbird Lane series. So what's next for the long-delayed Munsters reboot?

Apparently, nothing, as Fuller (Pushing Daisies) has confirmed that NBC has passed on a series order. The big-budget pilot was burned off around Halloween as a TV movie, pulling in a good-but-not-great 5.4 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating.

The pilot generated some positive buzz and seemed like an interesting jumping-off point for a potential series. But between the delays, creative infighting and the fact that Fuller has since moved on to NBC's Hannibal series, it just wasn't meant to be.

Fuller broke the bad news via Twitter, saying:

It's sad to hear that Fuller's passion project will never make it to a full season, but it's a small victory to have gotten the pilot out at all. At least we all got a peek at what could've been.

What do you think of the decision? Were you holding out hope for a series order?
