Wanna see the 1st trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness? Here's how! (Updated)

The trailer for the new sequel Star Trek Into Darkness is apparently ready to go, but there's one problem—J.J. Abrams and company are waiting on something before they let it into the wild. So what do we have to do?

The official Facebook page for the Trek sequel is now live, and the studio is looking for 500,000 "Likes" before they'll release the trailer. It's currently under 5,000, so there's a long way to go.

Yes, they're basically holding it hostage. But hey, that's pretty good marketing.

Despite the buzz surrounding the film, most of the larger details have managed to stay under wraps, so we're definitely curious to see what will be revealed by the first trailer.

Whatever it is, it'd have to beat the only brief bit of footage we've seen to this point.

Click here to visit the page, and hopefully it won't take too long to reach the goal.

UPDATE: Turns out this is all an elaborate hoax, so feel free to take back your "Like" and save it until the real page launches. Oh, well. So close, yet so far away.
