TV THIS WEEK: An Alphas farewell, a Munsters reboot + much more

Alphas signs off for its second season with a little help from Summer Glau, The Munsters is reborn as Mockingbird Lane, and DC's Deadshot arrives to challenge Arrow.

Also this week, Halloween is popping up all over as Grimm's Monroe visits Face Off, the Zabyronians have trouble with Halloween on The Neighbors, found footage leads Sam and Dean to trouble on Supernatural, Jason and the crew investigate a former factory on Ghost Hunters, an exorcist arrives at Briarcliff on American Horror Story: Asylum, Sam and Marcus begin negotiations with the U.S. government on Last Resort, and Buzz Aldrin guest-stars on a Halloween episode of The Big Bang Theory.

And the new vampire hunter becomes a problem on The Vampire Diaries, Cat gets put on leave on Beauty and the Beast, Reese tries to save a mob enforcer on Person of Interest, Holmes can't let go of a case on Elementary, Nick and Hank might be seeing ghosts on Grimm, Audrey and the gang get stuck in a haunted house on Haven, the zombies rise on Syfy's Rise of the Zombies, The Good Witch is back for The Good Witch's Charm, it's all about magic for Regina on Once Upon a Time, the Drake gets decked out for Halloween on 666 Park Avenue, and the story shifts back to Andrea and Michonne on The Walking Dead,

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Scene of the Crime"

Grimm alert! Yes, things are getting Grimm over at Face Off as the final four face their latest challenge, to create a creature from the NBC fairy-tale series. Silas Weir Mitchell, who plays Monroe on Grimm, guest-judges.

Wednesday, Oct. 24



Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - "Lone Gunman"

Deadshot alert! Michael Rowe guest-stars as the DC supervillain who takes a shot at the Arrow. In the episode, the assassin Deadshot kills Oliver's latest target and then goes after Walter. So Oliver brings in Detective Lance to help him take the assassin down. Elsewhere, Laurel and Tommy find themselves caught in an awkward situation.

The Neighbors (ABC) 8:30 p.m. - "Halloween-ween"

As the Weavers plan their first Halloween in the suburbs, the Zabvronians aren't too sure about the holiday. Meanwhile, the Weaver kids don't like their parents' Halloween plans.

Supernatural (The CW) 9 p.m. - "Bitten"

It looks like we're in for a "found footage" episode as Sam and Dean head to a college town to investigate a strange murder that appears to involve an animal attack. That puts them right in the middle of a student film that has clues to the crime.

TAPS travels to Claremont, N.H., to investigate a building that was once a show and furniture factory.

Mockingbird Lane (NBC) 8 p.m.

Halloween special! Just in time for Halloween, this The Munsters reboot is the pilot for the proposed series that promises to have "a darker edge and tone." Whether the "reimagination" works or not, you've got to appreciate the cast and crew. From Pushing Daisies' Brian Fuller and X-Men's Brian Singer, the series stars Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Jerry O'Connell as Herman Munster and Portia de Rossi as Lily Munster.

Rise of the Zombies (Syfy) 9 p.m.

Yearly Halloween zombie flick in honor of Halloween and The Walking Dead alert! This Syfy Saturday night movie follows survivors of a zombie apocalypse as they search to find a scientist who may be able to stop the plague. The movie stars Mariel Hemingway, Star Trek: The Next Generation's LeVar Burton, Grindhouse's Danny Trejo and 3rd Rock From The Sun's French Stewart.

The Good Witch's Charm (Hallmark) 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, Jane continues to see the spirit from the suitcase, and Henry meets a media consultant who takes an interest in him.
