Fillion's past meets future in epic Firefly/Castle video mashup

Nathan Fillion is a lucky guy. Not many actors get to take on one career-defining role—but Fillion has gotten two. Between the short-lived Firefly and the still-going Castle, a lot of folks love him. Now fandoms collide in an epic Firefly-esque Castle mashup.

The clip takes the Castle cast and premise, of a mystery writer assisting the NYPD, and reimagines it in the space western intro theme that Firefly creator Joss Whedon pioneered.

It's a nice blast from the past to see modern-day Fillion in the old Capt. Mal intro-style, and it really makes us miss the days when Fillion was a relative no-name pulling train heists and running from Reavers.
