It's Eastwood vs. Eastwood in sizzle reel for aborted killer clone pic

Joe Carnahan's sizzle reel for his aborted Daredevil movie proved so popular that the director has released another video pitch for a defunct project. This time it's Clint Eastwood vs. Clint Eastwood (seriously) in the sci-fi thriller Gemini Man.

The film has been in the works for a few years, and Carnahan was the latest director to make a run at it. The concept would've followed a government agent (Eastwood) who is being hunted by a talented agent who turns out to be ... himself, as a younger clone!

Hey, Looper recently played a similar card to great effect with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, though we don't know who on Earth could carry the torch as a young Eastwood.

That's what makes this sizzle reel so great. Carnahan pulled from new and old Eastwood films, literally pitting the veteran actor against himself.

Here is Carnahan's brief description of the clip:

"Sizzle reel for a defunct movie project that I was interested in doing with Bruckheimer at Disney. I was really fired up to work with one of my heroes: CLINT. That was the big reason why I put this reel together."
Check it out below and marvel at the young-vs.-old battle that could've been:

The movie is essentially dead at this point, and after seeing Carnahan's sizzle reel I'm sure the moviegoing public would only accept a film that could actually pit Eastwood against himself. Which, sadly, is essentially impossible.

What do you think? Is there anyone out there who you'd believe as a young Eastwood?
