Fact-check clip shows why S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier's impossible

To be the epic, secret team that brings superheroes together to save the world—S.H.I.E.L.D. needs one of the coolest bases ever. Luckily, they have it, via the helicarrier that became a mainstream bit of awesome thanks to The Avengers. But could it work in real life?

Sadly, probably not.

A new fact-check video put together by TechFeed tackles the mythic helicarrier, which can convert from an ocean-bound aircraft carrier to an invisible, flying airship thanks to some ultra-powered jets.

But in real life, it would probably weigh waaaaaaay too much ever to fly, especially when it's just being hoisted by some jet engines aimed at the ground.

Check out the clip below and prepare to have your bubble burst.

What do you think? Will we ever have a real-life helicarrier?
