Bryan Fuller: Don't believe what you heard about Munsters reboot

Word on the street is that Bryan Fuller's Munsters reboot, Mockingbird Lane, has been given the chop before its pilot has even aired on NBC. That's what everyone heard. Everyone, that is, except for Bryan Fuller.

If you follow Fuller's work, you know that cancellation is something he's plenty familiar with. Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daises and even Heroes have all been canceled before Fuller had a chance to complete their stories. It stands to reason that he might be a touch paranoid when it comes to the old network ax dropping on his head.

So when word came out online that Mockingbird was toast with no official word from NBC, Fuller went direct to the source to see what was what. Then he brought the word from on high to the realm of Twitter. That word?

"NBC just informed me the Deadline article regarding #MockingbirdLane was Dead Wrong. Stay tuned for updates!"

So the question becomes—what's the truth? It would certainly be a shame if the show were canceled. After all, with a big-name cast including Jerry O'Connell, Portia de Rossi and Eddie Izzard, the show is worth a look even if it turns out to be a dud.
