33 startling, sexy and strange cosplay pics from NY Comic Con
New York Comic Con started in 1996, so it's a relatively new addition to the annual convention calendar. But in a short time, NYCC quickly got all of the important stuff right. It has our favorite stars, previews of new movies and TV shows, some terrific panels and an awesome dealers room. It also has a key detail that convention-goers have come to expect at a media event like this: cosplayers galore.
You couldn't swing a lightsaber without hitting a cosplayer in the halls of NYCC 2012. Although many of these costumes were obviously made in five minutes with a glue gun and magic marker, a few were sublime. Or startling. Or just plain attention-getting. We have a gallery of them for you below.
