1st touching footage from eagerly awaited Firefly reunion special

We've been chomping at the bit to see the Science channel's new Firefly special, and now we finally have our first look at the epic reunion filmed earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Com.

A film crew basically followed the Firefly gang around for much of the con, and conducted some exclusive interviews that will also be incorporated.

The Comic-Con reunion and the TV special coincide with the short-lived space cowboy series' 10-year anniversary. It may have only lasted 14 episodes (and a movie), but Joss Whedon's labor of love still inspires some truly ardent fan love.

The first clip from the new special is an interview with star Nathan Fillion (Mal Reynolds) talking about what drives everyone's favorite browncoat.

Dubbed Browncoats Unite, the one-hour special is set to air Nov. 11 at 10 p.m. on Science.

The clip is sadly not available for embed, but you can view it right now at Entertainment Weekly.

So what'd you think? Will you be watching next month?
