Here are the Hulk comics Marvel says might get made into a movie

After Mark Ruffalo stole the show as The Hulk in The Avengers, it's not a huge shock that Marvel wants to bring the big green guy back to the big screen in his own standalone adventure. And now we know a few of the ideas they've been spitballing.

In an interview with MTV, Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige said they'll eventually be looking into the comic canon for inspiration—and he sees no reason why some of the more popular story lines couldn't work on the big screen someday.

When asked about a few specifics, Feige played it cool. Teasing:

"Planet Hulk is a cool story. World War Hulk is a cool story."
Of course, Planet Hulk was a Greg Pak story where The Hulk is sent to another planet, and has to fight his way back to Earth. World War Hulk is another Pak story that found Banner heading back to Earth in the wake of Planet.

Considering the trust Marvel has developed with the movie-going public, he said he believes some more comic-y story lines could definitely fit into some future phases of the Cinematic Universe, so long as it's handled well:

"I don't think there's a lot that we couldn't do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe."

"Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in Avengers? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until Avengers 2. So there's a lot of time to think about it."

Hey, if the far-fetched Guardians of the Galaxy can get the big screen treatment, anything's possible.

What do you think? Is the time coming when some of the cooler, but weirder, comic stories finally make it to the big screen?
