Check out Michonne + the Governor in 6 new Walking Dead S3 pics

With The Walking Dead's third season set for a triumphant arrival Oct. 14, AMC has released six new pics showing off the new additions to the cast, along with the survivors we know and love.

The new action shots show off Michonne (Danai Gurira) and the Governor (David Morrissey) in what appears to be Woodbury, along with some shots of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company at the prison we glimpsed at the end of season two.

Season three definitely looks to be a make-or-break year, with the TV series expanding the cast and finally catching up to some of the bigger storylines from the comic run.

It's a good thing the network upped the episode order to 16, because we'll have a lot of new folks to get to know this fall.

Check out the pics below and let us know what you think about the direction of The Walking Dead's season three. You looking forward to meeting all these new players?
